1st match in the DFB Pokal on monday 20th august 2012 in Regensburg 8,30 pm CET, achtung cause these kind of games are always dangerous......

Think we could play this way:

    Starke

    Lahm-Boa-Dante-Contento

    Tymo-Schweini

    Shaqiri-Müller-Rib

Are Contento and Schweinsteiger back in regular training yet? Last I heard they were still doing fitness drills.

    Excited for this.

Regensburg lost their first match in the 2. BL away to 1860 1-0, and won their second at home to Duisburg 2-0.

I expect to see the same lineup as in the Supercup, with perhaps a new face at LB.

Can't wait for the match. Going to try my best to watch, but I'll have to work it around my class schedule.

Tobias Schweinsteiger (top scorer for Regensburg last season in their promotion to 2. BL, now plays for Bayern II) on the cup tie...

fcbayern.de: Tobi, Bayern travel to Regensburg on Monday. How hard will it be to get the right result?
    Tobias Schweinsteiger:
Regensburg will push Bayern all the way. In their early second division fixtures, they’ve showed they’re very well organised and good in defence. They have quality up front too. They've taken their first three points of the season against Duisburg, so they'll be confident. It'll be important to take an early lead and calm the match down.
What can Bayern expect at the Jahnstadion? The stadium will be sold out. The dressing rooms, the showers and the toilets are all not exactly new. You need to find the right approach to a match like this. I recently spoke to Dante, who travelled to Regensburg in the first round of the cup last year with Gladbach [and won 3-1]. He told me it wasn't easy playing there, and it will be just as hard for Bayern.

Contento has to be fit for monday, otherwise Dante can play that position, oder Gustavo, oder Can........but think Jupp will put Boateng RB and Lahm LB something kind this:
    Boa-Bads(v.Buyten)-Dante-Lahm

I hope Contento is fit, we could definitely use a real fullback playing there.

Can was not impressive against Dortmund, but Regensburg is not Dortmund so it's hard for me to predict what Jupp will do.

    Thanks Capt. Kirk.

Got it. Will be knee deep in institute at school. No longer have the cushy job in front of the computer. 3 entirely new subjects to teach. Adios to Eissman's daytime postings.

Gomez, Alaba, Rafinha, Contento, and van Buyten all ruled out through injury.

Neuer, Dante, Pizarro, and Schweinsteiger have all shaken off injuries and are fit enough to be in the squad.

Schweinsteiger made it through 90 minutes of a midweek friendly, but according to Jupp is still lacking sharpness.

Whether Dante and Shaqiri start we will get a good idea if they're going to "rotate" or use only 12/13 players as per usual.
