Michigan Bucks leading quest for USL Pro, plans for small soccer stadium in downtown. MLS aspirations? http://www.buckssoccer.com/home/798788.html
Seen over on the MLS news thread: http://www.mlive.com/entertainment/detroit/index.ssf/2014/04/post_105.html Well. That's one way to get a stadium built for your team. Have your brother end up Mayor. Duggan's been in USL for effing ever. This is really kinda cool, and I'm really glad for him. He's one that's been in it for the long haul and it would be really special for this all to work out nicely for him.
except that Detroit City FC of the NPSL has been packing the stands for a couple of years now and they are already located in downtown Detroit. I just don't think that there is any substance to this Michigan Bucks possible relocation and a new SSS story.
Interesting that he wants to run a full service club. He wants a MLS team, USL club, PDL club, alongside a youth program and an international partnership. I suppose everybody was waiting for him to make his move and this is the right time. I'm intrigued on how DCFC fits into all of this
Detroit is the largest media market without a MLS team. It seems only a matter of time until that is rectified.
