Any idea what happened to this guy? It seems the Earth swallowed him up. Did he retire?

Still on their roster. Just not fun to follow a kid who barely plays for a team dead last with record of 0-6-15

So he's not injured, but not even making the rosters since October. Their current defenders are terrible, Emmen is dead last, can't win a single game, and I've seen their CBs literally collide with each other to allow a forward to walk right past with the ball.

I mean... how can Payne be worse than those clowns?

Gertjan Tamerus is happy with his input. "He is good one-on-one, reliable, has speed and ability to walk and he feels responsible."

Glad to hear he can walk.

    Started yesterday:

Des went 82 in a 1-0 win. Deron did not get minutes.

As I doubt few folks are going to frequent two Payne brothers thread, perhaps we consolidate:

Double the Payne: Des and Deron at Koninklijke

    Doubled over in Payne:

    2 Way Window Payne...

well... maybe not that last one.

More Payne than anyone deserves: Des and Deron at Koninklijke
More Payne than Koninklijke needs: Des and Deron...

I don't really want to dunk on them, but they should have thought of that when they picked their parents.

I’m not sure Deron is even eligible for American citizenship

He should be. His father is a naturalized US citizen, if I remember correctly. That means he lived at least 5 years in the US before Deron was born.

Had a chance to join Stoke (in the EPL) at age 16:

After HFC Haarlem had closed, he played himself in the spotlight of Stoke City via Zeeburgia, while Martin Koeman also threw out a fish on behalf of FC Groningen. It's been ten years now. Premier League club Stoke City offered him a two-year contract.

“We were picked up from Manchester airport in a Stoke van. At the hotel we received explanations and every day we were picked up and brought.” He wavered between heart and head. ,,I enjoyed the adventure and the beautiful stadiums in which I trained. At the age of 16, it was a long way off. And when FC Groningen came, I chose that.''

According to TM, hasn't been in the squad since mid-October. No indication of an injury.
