just think...picking up a KEY central defender, that could also mean no Boswell. :(

Love the Brujo. He was a magician with the ball at his feet and I will cherish everything about him and more specifically his words in our first season how us, these new Houston fans to MLS, had welcomed the players in a way that he and the rest of the guys never saw coming. It was then he called us "they are our 12th man".

Best of luck in Toronto and best wishes to your kin De Ro. Houston loves ya!

No shit! No send off salute. No kickass moment of walking on the field for a grand recibimento with fans chanting his name. No banners hung up all around the Rob. No slogans around the Rob made by hand of 'thanks for the memories' and the like. We got nothing.

Why fuc[ing now FO?!!!!? What gives?!?

We just signed him to a new contract too so that really pisses me off... I thought we had locked him up long term and this whole Toronto thing would have faded away.

What are the chances we get a DP before the begin of next season? Guesses as to who it could be... we need an attacking mid, unless they let Holden fill that role. I know many of you had mentioned that, but I always saw him taking Mullan or Davis' spot.

btw, i have a suggestion. if one of our Houston DeRo haters posts on here we neg-rep him into oblivion. i hadn't realized how much i had fallen in love with this team and this player until now. this hurts.

IMHO, this move makes Stuie a starter, hands down. He is much better centrally than on the right or left (even though he is damn good on the right).

    So I see us...........

    ---Kamara-------Ching-----
    ----------Holden----------
    Davis---------------Mullan
    ---------Clark------------
    ?1----Erob----?2 -----Mulrooney
    --------Onstad---------

    ?1 = Barrett or Chabala
    ?2 = BB.com or James or Ianni

The only thing I can think when this move is done, is I expect we will get a DP forward now to play next to Ching.

One part of the trade that I don't like is in a year where we are going to have national team callups, Canada was eliminated.

As far as DeRo haters, who can there be that are actually haters? He was epically clutch. Period. End of Story.

I had suggested two years ago that we trade him for Wynne and sign Blanco as our DP, but I totally realize that we would be losing a GREAT player.

I'm not surprised it happened, but I am surprised if this is really all we are getting out of it. I would have asked for a 1st round pick as well.

I don't think it will be as big a drop-off as non-Houston MLS fans think, going from DeRo to Holden. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Holden turns out to be an MLS star by the end of next season. The biggest place it hurt was in losing depth.

I wonder if James will take Boswell's place, or if he might be an option at right back?

At least now we have a lot of $ to play with (Jaqua's salary gone, DeRo's salary gone, plus allocation money).

The hits just keep on coming.

This is seriously going to test my philosophy of "Dom can't get screwed in MLS trades." I can't believe that's all we got for him.

If we got allocation money with this trade, then I'm pretty sure there is a DP signing coming sometime this offseason.

I agree. This move has DP written all over it at forward, IMHO.

While I am gutted to be losing DeRo, Holden just got a promotion he justly deserved.
