    Interesting article. Thanks for the link.

    Yeah, I was living overseas and watching La Liga regularly during that period. Deportivo La Coruna had a great squad and the names in that article bring back those memories. Those were the years when the league was NOT always won by Barcelona or Real Madrid.

    It is sad to see how far DLC has fallen, but blame goes to those who mis-managed the finances. Money is needed in modern sport and I would like to see FIFA get tougher with financial rules so clubs like Barca and Real Madrid don't get undo advantages playing with large amounts of debt.
