That's "Offside" but I'm not going to nitpick now...you're doing a great job.

How do they pick who goes atop of the group, seeing as how we are on equal points? Do they go to head-to-head?

Yea, that's what I meant by "Head-to-head", i'm just kidding and giving you a hard time. Ok that's what I thought they would look at. Well either way, it was a HUGE win today and put our chances of moving on in a clearer sight.

well,i would have like monaco beating olympiacos ,but thats not the case and its a little bibt tougher now!!yeah,if we beat Monaco we have have automatic qualification ,but if we dont we would have to beat Olympiacos by more than 1 goal in the last game to go to the 2nd stage .The good thing is that Monaco are not a very good side, and we can beat them at home, specialy with the confidence the lads will get with this win!

Keep in mind they we did this without our two best players (Gerrard and Alonso). By all accounts both Biscan and Hamann were excellent in the center of the midfield. I would hope that this means the end of Diao. Each time that Diao has played this year, Biscan should have been in his place. Igor and Traore are totally new players and Rafa. I think Biscan deserves a start against Birmingham this weekend. If Alonso is fit, Hamann could always use a rest. Now that we are starting to get results away from home we can put a real run together and show that we are one of the top teams in Europe again. When we get Gerrard and Alonso playing together we should be a real force.

Watched the game on the Setanta Pub Channel. I know this may shock you but the man of the Match was either EyeGor or Djimmy. EyeGor played extremely well both winning balls and going forward in attack. The own goal was down to him although JAR hit a perfect left footed cross and teh defender had no choice but to try and stop the ball gettting to Milan who would have buried it. That said Djimmy was simply marvelous and resolute -- he won balls in the air, played balls well from the back, and made some simply massive stops with perfectly timed tackles. Both of them were revelations.

Score should have been 4 or 5 to nil. Our defense was inpenetrable but Baros, Riise, Harry and Garcia all had one or more gold plated opportunities.

I'll take it -- Bring on the Monagasques.

Yes, most of the non-spaniards were full of vinegar. Kirkland was out cold there for a moment, but his bulb seemed to burn again.

Thank you guys for the pub report. I didn't realise we played that well. Djimmy is looking really good of late...On his long skinny legs is carried a lot of class. Eyegore looks sleepy but his play is wide awake.

Tristan got a mention when he came on the pitch but that was the last time I heard his name. I guess Uther killed them both.

You liked my Isolde quote and let Rowan's intro on page two from Shakespeares Henry IV go over your heads.....Oh my!...
Well, it was a push..
    Ta for the rep.

edit: and quote #84 page 6. Guess I'm full of it, I said 'it' lately...

The ironic thing is that Biscan and Traore were prime examples of Houllier's poor dealings in the transfer market. Biscan was even voted worst player in the Premieship. I think its great that they are both totally new players under Rafa. Traore hasn't done a thing wrong since becoming a regular starter, and I can't see him losing his place. Biscan's has had limited opportunities but has been very impressive in the few chances he has gotten. It was clear in preseason that Biscan was a much better player then we saw under Houllier. I thought he was our best player during the US tour. Good to see some Houllier flops turn out to be good players under Benitez. Diao on the other hand is a lost cause.

Traore was always hit or miss under Houllier, but Biscan was never thought of by anyone as anything other than a total lost cause. If it wasn't for the Diao/Diouf/Cheyrou signing, he would have been the posterboy for the anti-Houllier brigade. If his sudden rebirth under Rafa is a sign of things to come, then I say bring it on.
