    well,heres team news
Depor--will be without Maurio Silva ,the 38 yr old Brazilian, who got injured playing against Liverpool at Anfield.

Deportivo are bottom of the table with 2 points, but have 2 home games against Liverpool and Monaco ,and an away game against OLympiacos

Liverpool--will be without injured Gerrard ,Nuñez and Smicer.

Liverpool are 3rd with 4 points, with only one home game left,a must win match against Olympiacos(they have 2 home games as well).

    Simple....got to win...!!!

Just don't expect Depor to play the way they did at Anfield. Perhaps we'd better let Rafa know that. It's going to be a tough match any way you look at it.

Definitely a must win. I think they will play alot more attacking style football at home. When they came to Anfield, they were just playing for the tie, which they got. But we better watch out this next game, it's gonna be a tough one.

Good Christ, I feel like an ancient duffer with a school master's penchant for rules but usually we keep only one match at a time up for discussion. It's not so bad to have two open, and anyway its our board and we can do what we want but thoughout Big Soccer game discussions are either labeled with an [R] for possible results, or are called pre- and post-match discussions. Can we all get that straight? :D

I won't speculate on lineups until after we play on Saturday. I do agree that this is a must win to keep playing after Christmas in Europe.

Well if there is any team that Rafa should know a good deal about, it is Deportivo, being it that he won La Liga.
But, things have been inconsistent so far, but a win would certainly help Liverpool out, and Rafa.
My prediction it will be won by the odd goal.

    My lineup would be:

    -------------Kirkland
    Finnan--Carragher--Hyppia--Traore
    Garcia---Alonso---Hamann--Riise
    --------------Kewell
    -------------Baros

Josemi needs to be dropped. Wheather Kewell or Garcia play up front doesn't really matter. Both should have lots of freedom in this formation.

Not a bad line up. I actually saw young Harry try a couple of shots at Blackburn. Maybe he'll improve.
I still think it's a tough away match and we're not doing 'away' very well so far.

Thats my lineup as well, bench would have to be Dudek, FSP, Biscan, Warnock, Josemi and Mellor.

and theres some good news! depor could only manage a goales draw at home against a very weak side!lets hope the can play that way against liverpool and we manage to take the 3 points! Its true depro were a very dangerous side, but lately(this last couple of months) they havent played that well!

    FT Deportivo 0 : 0 Albacete

Make sure we get Rowan up on the second page. No Rowan against Blackburn and look what happens.

Yeah, you beat me to the Tristan article . . . Chest pounding after a brace against third division Cerceda? Come on, now.

Did Tristan really speak in third person? That's awesome. As for Josemi, is Emerton really that fast because I saw him beat Didi and Josemi a couple times with pace. Admittedly Didi is a bit older but Josemi looked quite slow.

For a big boy Emmo motors along quite well, doesn't he?
And as for Tristan let's see what he has to say after the game. If he'll crow a little louder "Gollum is good is Gollum" or if he runs off with Isolde..!
