How did you become a fan? I see you are in Detroit now. Did you live here, or have family here? I don't think I'm going to Sunday's game, but hope to get to one of the December games. There is a guy who has lived here for almost four years, and has not gone to a game yet. He heads back to the States for good in January. I'm hoping to get him to a game before then.

Funny. They are a pretty *small* club for that to happen with. They must have been a fun team to watch then. Have you ever been here to see a game, or only get to *watch* from afar?
Unfortunately I only get to watch them from afar. Now that they stink, GolTV doesn't show them nearly as much as they used to.
No surprise we've fallen to the relegation zone. And if we do manage to be relegated, I fear we'll never recover.

So are Depor staying up or going down this season? It doesn't look good. They are sitting 19th in the table with 17pts. What are the reasons: lack of funds? injuries? can't afford to keep talent?
I believe it's a combination of the 1st and 3rd reasons. There were rumours even last season that Depor was struggling to make ends meet and even pay some of their players! they seem to be in deep financial trouble. Also they have lost a lot of talent the last couple of seasons: Digeo Tristan (though he was past his best), Jorge Andrade, Capdevila, Aldo Duscher, Albert Luque, Arbeloa, Roy Makaay etc. and Valeron has been injured for so long he is almost a new player! But there is hope with some great young players like Andres Guardado, Julian de Guzman, Antonio Barragan and Cristian Hidalgo coming through. I think they should just avoid the drop this season.
I have to agree reasons one and three are the biggest reasons, but until they do something about the lack of funds, they can't hang onto their players. Like I've said before in the post, I can see Depor dropping this year and I fear we may never recover.
