Agreed. No matter what you think about his playing ability, he's got to be admired for his perseverance and resolve.

i've never thought cesc was a leader, or captain material. he just happens to be the best player.

The benefits of using google chrome, here is the latest translated stuff from the website
    "Hello everybody,
Below the note issued by the player Denilson, through his press office:
Midfielder Denilson of Arsenal, said the statement, published on Wednesday, August 19, the British newspaper The Sun on Cesc Fabregas, the team captain, and a personal friend of the player.
"The Fabregas is a great friend. When told that the team had no leadership was in order to point out that Arsenal have a very young group and sometimes lack a more experienced person, as Gilberto Silva, for example, for many years, "said Denilson, who already talked with Cesc, after the misunderstanding.
"I'm a shy guy, not like controversy and not problems. I was misquoted. I have talked with Fabregas and everything is resolved. We are fighting for the English title and it will not take away our focus, "he concluded.

i think he's an okay captain (the players respect him and have confidence in him), just not really a leader.

Thanks for the update. I really like the kid and am glad he and Cesc have resolved the issue.

He does, though, bring up a great point; we really do not have someone older who can really call the team to arms, so to speak, in big or close matches. Cesc is skilled, but I don't get the sense that he can galvanize the team like Vieira or Adams.

I guess, but its not like anyone's saying he was unbelievable. He did his job well, which is what most people want from him as backup holding midfielder. As long as he's putting in good performances, I got no problem with holding onto him as depth.

This shite is getting tiresome Phishy, and I dont mind calling you out on it. You really are acting like a knob. Why troll on your own board, on your own damn team?!

All the talk from regulars on this board often goes back to "the old posters dont come here anymore because its so negative blah blah"

Well thats as negative as any other poster ive seen, its not even constructive its just spiteful and directed towards other posters whom you dont like, you are better than that.

Its up to the guys that hang around here to get a good vibe going between its users

it is depressing, a player gets an assist and somehow that assist is criticized, lol...

    oops.

He essentially said the same thing as Wenger, just not as cleverly.
