Cinderella story for Fulham. I hope you guys win it. Frankly, as my dad is from Bremen and a Werder fan, it makes it very hard to root for Hamburg but had they won, the Bundesliga would have gotten the 4th CK spot from Serie A in 2011 rather than 2012. Oddly enough, the fight for that fourth CL spot between the Bundesliga and Serie A now lies completely on the match between Bayern and Inter during the CL final, so there is a little bit of poetic Justice. Again, congrats and I hope you win it all.
From the Beeb: Fulham's Clint Dempsey: "You never give up man. We knew if we got one, the second might come and when Simon's goal went we had 20 minutes left to score and we worked hard to get it."
The best part is that if Fulham do win the Europa League, Burnley is next on the list to qualify for Europe through the Fair Play ranking. http://www.goal.com/en/news/166/eur...ualify-for-europa-league-via-fair-play-league
The Europa semis have certainly made up for the disappointment of the extremely dull Champions League semis. They need to have them start at different times though. Sucks that Fulham got the spotlight taken away by a poor Liverpool team having a disappointing season.
Kuyt with another flop. You'd think he'd compensate for his lack of aesthetic attractiveness with more endearing personality traits.
It should be a lot more entertaining game now, than it would have been otherwise. The difference in attractiveness of style of those two clubs is stark.
well the results were from the season spent in the top flight. probably be akin to a lower tier club winning a domestic cup.
There is one club representing each of the top four leagues in the European finals right now... for the Barclay's Premiere League it is Fulham!!!!!! Who'da thunk it???
Let me just say that Simon Davies has never let Fulham down. Beyond that, Gera and Dempsey (after coming on) were excellent tonight. Its no accident that both goals came after Clint entered, and this comes from someone who has full respect for Bobby Zamora. I hope he can recover from the final. I'm blisteringly drunk right now- COME ON YOU WHITES!
He does not have to be...it could be accumulative. But to answer the question, no. He will be able to play in the final. Funny how Fulham was the only club to be able to beat the volcano!!!
Oh f****k, I hope that match kicks off at 3:05 EDT as well. That's the night of my last class for my MBA. Class starts at 5:30. I can't miss it.

IF Fulham win the final, what would that do to their budget for next season? With the guarantee of some European money would they spend a little bit more? They should buy Donovan
Jovan Kirovski played in the 1997 UEFA Super Cup between Dortmund and Barcelona, although I don't know if that counts. But if we're just considering the Champions League and UEFA Cup/Europa League then I believe he would be the first.
