Haven't seen a thread posted yet about this game...games at

Not even sure if Dempsey is playing and the line-ups haven't come out yet. He should be playing and hopefully Duff will also be able to play in this one, though Gera looked really good this weekend.

Any streams? Should start around 3 or 4pm EST (21:05 local)...

    Lineup is out:

Schwarzer - Konchesky, Smalling, Baird, Kelly - Dempsey, Greening, Murphy, Riise - Zamora, A Johnson.

Deuce on the left apparently. Also, Greening is starting, so Fulham is playing to lose.

clint not taking spot kicks anymore...i guess that means it is a center not a shot on goal.

wow, some idiotic defending by Fulham. 3 players open in the box from the other team...

you know, i think the problem with Zamimal is that someone told him he is a striker. If someone would just tell him he is a converted Centerback or something, tell him he is a manchild, I dont know, I think he would start scoring.

clint with a great turn at speed, dragged the ball around with 3 defenders surrounding him, then put a shot/pass on goal, but was fouled. Murphy puts it over the crossbar.

Dempsey wins a corner with great effort there.

Complete idiocy of Zamora not to shoot that.

Dempsey just misses from 30 yards with a right footed effort, really good shot.

Goal Murphy, set up by AJ.

A superb finish about 5 yards closer than Dempsey's miss a minute before.

    Fulham 1-0 Basle

No real opportunities in awhile, although AJ was possibly taken down for a PK to no call.

The stream I was watching went out with 5 minutes to go, but apparently Fulham get the 1-0 victory. A huge 3 points and they are in 1st place in Group E.

Could only watch from 60' on...

Fulham played good football and managed a clean sheet despite having 3/4 of the backline resting up...the replacements did pretty well considering, but i'm not too fond of Greening...
Dempsey was ok...i've noticed that he is using less energy than normal the past few games...probably to conserve during Europe and league play...

Anybody that watched the first 60' care to fill me in?

he needed to break the greening jinx.

though he still hasnt won yet during league play.

All I can think about Geening is that Hodgs wanted a zamimal/etuhu/bullard/dokken mix for the middle of the field.

    Back for the Attack!

Dempsely was fine in this game, dangerous without coming that close to scoring and doing a good job moving the ball in the flow of play.

Zamora, complete disaster in this game - couldn't hold the ball and his passing was horrendous. Riise played right mid and he really showed he isn't capable at this level - at least in this game. These two factors made what was nearly Fullham's first team attack look pretty poor until the second half (Fullham played reserve central defenders and a reserve right back)

Even though most folks don't care for Zamora at all, myself included, he does have the faith of the manager. And just when you think he might be running out of that, too, he'll score a goal and it's back to square one.
