I'm guessing Dempsey's starting on the bench because of Zamora's injury -- Roy has more flexibility with bringing Clint on depending on the game situation and how long Zamora can go.

Is it because of his injury earlier in the year? Why does Dempsey not start?

 

That should have been a foul on Hangeland. The guy played the man instead of the ball. It was a body check.

100% agreed, its a tatical decision. fulham have more options with Dempsey on the bench than starting the game, especially with a crocked Zamora.
