I think supporting the elimination of Palestine may have something to do with it as well...

First, all apologies to Ms. Merchant, since the lyric I quoted is about Ginsberg. But Dersh definitely considered himself a Democrat at one point, and I'd agree. As Smurfquake notes, he was a true ACLU type defense lawyer, taking on lost causes on behalf of people with a lot money like Tyson, Simpson, von Bulow, etc., but also taking on pro bono death penalty cases. He's always been an attention seeker and loves the sound of his own voice but it was usually in service of left-leaning causes.

I honestly don't know what happened to him around the time Commander Marmalade came onto the political scene but he certainly seems to have suffered some sort of psychotic break. Most of the HLS faculty long since tired of him.

I think the Epstein stuff that has come out has been more damaging than his Trumpy stuff.

The fact that Dave Rubin, RFK, Tulsi Gabbard, Tim Pool and Elon Musk are now Conservatives is a good advertisement for Democrats. Half of them would switch back to D if the were paid though. Russia if you're listening, please keep them on your payroll so they don't find their way back to the left.

    Rep for "Commander Marmalade!"

Someone needs to compile a list for all the more creative names. I'm partial to "Little Lyin' Man" myself.
