Bladdity blah blah blah. Currently the DNC is listening to Representative Wexler (Obama supporter) make his case. He made a good point that Florida was the only state where Republican turnout was higher than Democratic.
Damn. Bob Wexler is going to either get an Academy Award or have a heart attack. This is the most insane thing I have watched in a while.
I expected this to be dull. I just wish Wexler would bust out a quick, "I like cocaine because it's a fun thing to do."
Florida has made their case, now Michigan is doing the same. The current "uncommitted" superelegate is making a 69-59 case for the delegate split right now. If he's a Clinton supporter he's certianly not drinking the kool-aide.
They have to make the decision today, correct? Would this put Obama over the top ... or does it change the amount needed for the nomination?
The best case scenario for Obama is that they do nothing. Anything else raises the bar from 2025. I think.
They have not let one Obama supporter question this dude from Michigan. edit: Oh there's the token Obama supporter. *sigh*
No TV where I live. I'm just being a jacknut. How in the hell is that not a red card on Ickes? Michelle Obama with the corner.
Even so, with splits in both states it doesn't really help Clinton either. If it moves from 2025 to something like 2150 because they're only counting half of Florida it brings him closer to whatever magic number he needs.
Re: No TV where I live. I'm just being a jacknut. Harold Ickes should have his microphone shoved right up his ass.
Re: No TV where I live. I'm just being a jacknut. Ummm ... you guys do know I typed that in at random, don't you? I'd love to see the DNC tell Michigan and Florida to go stuff it. It would send a good larger message that Democrats can be hardass when they need to. As it is, I predict that any delegate advantage Hillary gets today is erased within a week's time between Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Montana and Superdelegate! endorsements.

The RBC is on MSNBC and C-SPAN also. This is exciting. I got up early, like it was Christmas morning. This shit is crazy though; everybody on the committee is showboating.
In both Florida and Michigan, voters went to the polls knowing that their votes wouldn't be counted. How many didn't bother going to the polls precisely because they viewed it as an exercise in futility?
