Here is the babelfish translation of their situiation:

"On/descent round participant Sion stands approximately one month before beginning of the graduation round practically without crew there. Because the hoped for financial subsidies of potential sponsors were missing, all player contracts are dissolved.

The executive committee of the Walliser of association around president Jean Daniel Bianchi will try starting from Wednesday to negotiate with the participants about new contracts to substantial more favorable conditions. In accordance with Bianchi Sion will be able to deny the on/descent round only with players, who accept the new conditions.

    No reinforcement possible
Because of (still) the desolate financial situation Sions is not possible it for the Wallisern to strengthen the Equipe for spring. The commitment of Patrick Isabella, who pushed few days ago of Yverdon in the Wallis, comes off therefore just as little as the obligation of two Argentinier, which weilen since in the middle of January with Sion in sample training.

    Further outlets inevitably
Whether Sion can rise after the newest development at all with a competitive crew into the on/descent round, is questionable. Already to beginning of the year the double winner separated from 1997 from the two defensive service providers of olive Biaggi and Jean Pierre Tcheutchoua. Now further outlets are probably inevitable "

Sounds like difficult times in Sion. This begs the question, Has Sion ever been finincally stable??

It appears that all of the players are still there. The goal is to restructure the contracts for less money.
