How do I delete my bigsoccer account or deactivate it, its either this or do I have to deliberately have to get a red card?

How about just not logging in and posting anymore as you've threatened to do 100X in the past?

A red card will not delete your account, just make it so you cannot post any longer. You'd still be able to log on and read the forums.

We don't delete accounts because it messes with every thread in which you've ever posted. You can always stop logging in if you don't want to read/post any longer.

If you really need a red card, you can always try posting spam twice in World Rivalries, and I'll be happy to do the honours. Might i suggest that you spam this thread a couple of times:

It's like alcoholism...if there is booze in the house, it will get drunk!!! As long as Rizzuto still has an account, he'll be back to post - impossible for him to just turn away and say, "No"...

this sounds bogus. i too asked to be deleted. i finally (after insisting a bit) received an e-mail from Mark (without telling me who he is) on october 13 saying "We would be happy to delete your personal information from our database." it hasn't been done.
i haven't been posting in a while so at this point it'd hardly 'mess up' a bunch of forums. (as if bs forums were so perfect that 'messing them up' would be sacrilege. :D )

imo the truth is that bs profits from a larger subscriber list.
against which i would point out that there's an ethical issue of privacy with keeping someone's personal information and status as a subscriber against his/her wishes.
and of course once bs responds that ""We would be happy to delete your personal information from our database," there doesn't seem to be any legitimate reason left to avoid doing so.
so please, bs, go ahead and do what you promised me. ;)

Often we get these requests - and then when we go to fulfill them, posters are still posting and seem to have a change of mind.

What you are referring to is correct - personal information should be removed upon request - as your information has been.

this doesn't make sense to me... how do i still function as big soccer member 'holiday' who is posting at this very moment, if there is no longer the personal information as the basis for 'holiday's' registration? is this what 'limbo' means? the ghost of an avatar? 'virtual' squared? :)

as for changing my mind one day, that would be strictly my problem and not something against which big soccer ought to protect me.
(and of course i could begin a 'second life' with a new avatar easily enough).

I know this is an old thread but how do you spot spam in WR? It always struck me as a trolling moshpit?

He means that if you start spamming (advertising for viagra for example), since he moderated Rivalries at the time, it would be in his area to red card.
