juve are conceding more goals than the past few seasons, and there are some talk about the transfer market........but lippi said they don't need new players. I think this is true because of the likes of davids, ferrara, iuliano, tudor and pessotto on the bench and reserves. what changes (formation and starting eleven) you think lippi should make to his preferred starting line-up of: Buffon thuram montero legrottaglie zambrotta appaih tacchinardi camoranesi nedved delpiero trezeguet

Please note the smiley - I posted the above while Juventus was in the process of demolishing Olympiakos 7-0 the other day. This was their starting lineup. I would never start Chimenti ahead of Buffon.
that seemed to work against parma ... i still like the 4 in the back with 2 midfielders roaming around my lineup Buffon Thuram/legrottaglie/montero/zambrotta appiah/davids (why cant davids play with appiah?) Nedved/camoranesi/del piero trezeguet i also think Maresca deserves a little more playing time but thats just me im new to the forum ... i dont knwo about any other soccer forums and im a lifelong JUVE fan so hello all
Welcome to the boards. I like the 4-2-3-1 as well. There seems to be this (mis?)conception that Tacchinardi is essential to the Juventus midfield, I guess that's why you never see Davids/Appiah together.
Tacchinardi is an exceptional defensive midfielder and lippi loves him, but i dont think he has been at the top of his game this year ... so i dont know, id love to see appiah and davids together with nedved and camoranesi in the middle and maresca roaming around ...
