    7. Defensive midfielder of the month. Kyle Beckerman. The time has come for Beckerman, who has long been an underrated man in the middle in MLS. Deceptively strong, extremely crafty with the ball, and a good hard-nosed defender, Beckerman could be on the verge of Best XI. Did I mention that the guy has a great long-range shot? Beckerman's climb in the league has been steady as they come, and so far in '07, he's showing he's one of the league's best at his position. He wins by a nose over Chris Armas, who's playing very well for the Fire.

Nice find. Good to see Beckerman getting recognition. I think both he and Pablo will miss time this summer.

Dallas fans, RSL fans, and a good number of DC fans are all gnashing their teeth, pulling out their hair, and cursing the mother of Bradley.

Mighty, mighty props to Kyle, he has earned it. (But is winning over Armas by a 'nose' a clear win?)

Also on his long range shots, we need more of that and also more of that into the net and not the 20th row of seats. ;>) As I began, glad to see him getting the recognition that he deserves and has earned through hard work.

Kyle had a nice shot on goal in the first half on Monday night and Seitz played it very well to stop it. With Becks getting into good shooting position a few times a game we should get another good scoring season out of him. He's quickly becoming my favorite Rapid after the departure of Cannon.

Way to go Kyle. Keep up the good work effort and I predict you'll see a lot more playing time with with the Nat's. It's just too bad that we couldn't have had the wide defender of the month to also bragg about. Considering who received for the Goal keeper of the month I don't feel real bad about Joe winning that particular honor... Go Rapids!

Yea it will be nice if he gets to play if he gets called up.. He really hasn't gotten a chance to show how he plays since he only got 10 min. He never got to be in with pablo or ricardo but yet bradley's son get two full games. I would rather he stay home and play for rapids than sit the bench behind bradley's son. We will need him at home. That just goes along with the lack of respect.

I'd actually prefer to see him play along side young Mr. Bradley rather than Rico or Pablo. I still believe that Beckerman's effectiveness at the International level depends on playing alongside another true two way player. Pablo isn't really that guy, and I haven't seen anything that really suggests Rico is.
