Just wanted to give a thanks to all the fine folks that made us out of towners feel welcome before, during, and after the MLS Cup this weekend.

My three buddies and I drove up Saturday night from Cincinnati and got to the stadium a few hours before kick-off and quickly were welcomed in by the Midnight Riders in the parking lot. (I was the guy in the Guinness jersey, my three friends all wore their Crew jerseys.) In the three hours we spent with you guys, I don’t think a minute went by where someone wasn’t stuffing us beer or food down our throats. We feasted like kings on everything from freshly baked breads to polish sausage to buffalo meat to an awesome stuffed pork loin concoction that I expect to get a recipe for very soon. :)

We came up ticketless and once you folks found that out, everyone was quick to try and find us some. It was like having a few hundred drunken concierges there to make sure we were having a great time.

We sure as hell did. Everything was awesome.

Bummer about the game itself, but we’ve pretty much managed to block that out of our minds and can only seem to remember a one-one overtime draw.

We left immediately after the game and drove the 16 hours back home and got back in time to work this morning. I'm quite tired now and in dire need of a nap, but just wanted to pop in here first.

Well, I suppose that’s about it, really. I just wanted to thank you all for showing us a great time and tell you that we’ll all be back again soon. (And we’ll also be spending more time at FoxWoods next time as well, seeing as we walked away quite nicely from that place.)

    Thanks again,
    Amerifolklegend.

Hate L.A.: It’s the right thing to do.

I'd also like to thank the fine people in New England. I had a good time at the Supporters' Summit. I had a great time at the bar in Providnece after the awards gala. And you all put on one hell of a tailgate. Even after the game was over, it was fun to be with you at the tailgate. Thanks for everything. Come out to KC sometime so the Mystics can return the favor!

    Sincerely,

    Kevin Maschler

Awesome! I see that the Stuffed Pork Tenderloin Rollatini has already been added to your website. I will be making this in the near future.

Well, AFL beat me to it. I was one of the Crew fans with him and your group was superb. Thanks for everything.

Great photos Tony! Bit of a different perspective from the norm and that's much appreciated.

Those were great photos! Brings back lots of memories and sadness that I missed it :(

BTW, who were the trenchcoat mafia in picture pa200061 (the group of guys in civies lined up in front of the goal)?

    Great photos Tony!

  18. I can't add anything to this message, for the same hospitality was given to us. Too bad the result couldn't have been better for the Revs.
