Questions?

1. What is the draft order?

2. 1 min is tough. It takes that long to post the new selection and look through the last few posts to see if a player has already been chosen. I suggest 2-3 min is more realistic.

3. May I suggest that each manager show their entire list of drafted players.

Then copy this over and add Player B selected next. This way others only have to review the last 5-6 posts to check if someone has already been selected. At one min per pick, it's real easy to lose track of who has picked whom.

Chris, how do you want to handle selecting someone who is not yet in the DeadlyStrike database? We had two such in our draft. What we did was have those managers select a placeholder on their roster who they agree not to play and whom is likely to be wanted from the free agent pool by other managers. Then, when the player becomes available, they drop the placeholder and add the player to their roster.

One minute per pick is also tough for anyone making picks for someone else. Have to check the latest PM's, emails, etc.

I totally approve of going from start to finish on the draft, but I think it will probably take over 2 hours, more like 2.5 to 3 hours. Then we also have the BigSoccer busy bulletins.

Just some thoughts.

I'm pretty sure I signed up for this and to be honest, I can't spend the afternoon drafting. I have to work (unfortunately) and this is defintely not condusive to my schedule.

With all do respect this was poor planning, I hope all the owners saw the intitial post so they know there is a draft.

I'm also not sure of being able to devote enough time to the draft today. Am taking the day off from work, but won't have computer access for much of the time. I would be able to participate in a live draft conducted on an evening and would be in favor of by-passing this week's match and of starting the league next weekend.

 

If delay a week, count me out. I don't mind starting a bit later today, but I have enough other fantasy soccer teams, that if we don't have 6 managers to start today, I will pass.

just let me know. being on the west coast - 2 is close enough to lunchtime for me to handle the draft today. the only times i am really unavailable are from 3-6 pm pacific (my 1 year old, while a lover of the game, is not especially useful in the hillsdale war room).

 

how about posting a draft order? i've got lists all ready, so i don't need for you to send me anything. i checked the web site last night to get any insights on how the scoring works itself out. hal - any hints? (it can't hurt to ask)

 

I signed up a team yesterday, but not in the flmls league---needed a pass word. If you need an extra team I'd love to join.
let me know...

 

I'm in the McAllister League already...but just let me know if I would be better suited somewhere else.
