I'll bet this is the only time we'll ever see "Dema Kovalenko" and "Brainchild" in the same sentence!
For some reason there are many United fans doubting Kovalenko. Why would DC be spending top $$$ on him then. You fools must know more than the United exec's. Dema should have stayed in Chicago where everyone loved him.
I, for one, am glad DC picked him up. He has heart and that was one thing in short supply for much of last year. james
Don't worry about Dema, there's plenty of love for him in DC. He'll be just fine. Stoich, too. I'd like to see an idiot say that 'brainchild' comment to his face in Fado one night.
I don't think the poster was ripping on Dema's worth to DC, just the fact that he's known to be a little thick headed. The guy tried to eat plastic fruit once.
YOu know "brainchild" and "athlete" don't tend to mix very often, so it's not a huge dig at Dema to suggest that he may not be a genius. Don't need to get the panties all bunched up. The same thing could easily be said of 95% of the team. These guys are on the team to play soccer, not design the next space shuttle.
Goodness gracious! I put a smiley on there for chrissakes! I was only making what I hoped to be a humorous play on the previous post and the fact that Dema is known to exhibit some "thick-headedness" (as Stogey put it). Seriously, just a harmless joke and nothing at all to do with his value to the team. Nor was I casting aspersions on his overall intellect or character. A thousand pardons if I ruffled any feathers!
Now, now, don’t disparage our boys! Many of them do quite well in the intellect department. For instance, Nelsen, I believe, was top of his class at no less a university than Stanford. I, for another one, am really looking forward to watching Dema play for DC! If the rest of the team picks up on his work ethic, it will be good for us.
