Where: AF When: Wednesday 7/25 @ 8:00PM EDT Why: Because the stadium opened in July and almost all of our matches are at home from now on.
3-1 DCU Watching Saturday's mess almost caused me to switch that to a tie or something, but I'm giving that game a pass. Can the team win 2 home games in a row? Which raises the question ... when's the last time that happened? I think they win this and next Saturday's and it creates an Audi stadium hype that annoys me for weeks #WeWinWednesdays
Super stoked for Wednesday. 2nd game at AF, good chance for rain, ******** the Red Bulls, I'm off the rest of the week after the game. Atmosphere should be better with 1 of the 2 groups back, and I believe no more protesting. I wasn't too upset about the lack of chanting, but moreso just the oddness/uncomfortableness of it all in the supporters end for the opener. Ousted Fisher Birn Brillant Mora Durkin Steiber Arriola Acosta Asad Mattocks Clark, Robinson, Canouse, Harkes, Moreno, Miranda, Rooney
There is really no way to consider the game against Columbus an actual home game. The previous home game was a humiliating loss to NJ
I get it about the stadium but what does that have to do with the picture of the Red Bull trophy wife?
I theory we have as many attacking weapons as they do, if not more. Combine that with the home field advantage, and we should win. In reality, we have Frederic Brillant and Ben Olsen so there are 1000 ways we could f this up.
Looks like the weather for Wednesday has 100% chance of thunderstorms. Bring a rain jacket and something to read during rain delay
I've slept on the floor all night at JFK, I think I can handle a plastic seat at AF. (So long as there is beer and food.)
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than JFK, except for maybe LaGuardia. I've travelled all through the developing world and JFK and LGA are the shittiest major airports that I've seen yet. I would absolutely rather spend the night at Turkey Vulture Point.
Wonder how that will play with the Metro and attendance. The storms out Vienna way have been real toad chokers, we'll see if Sitruc is right about the field drainage My guess is about 1 minute from the last whistle the food and beer goes away and those who linger get swept to the street within the hour.
Are the Scum sending a contingent south? Recall reading the geniuses in the FO sold season tickets in the section they designated for away fans. Wonder how that will work out.
Really? LOL So, looking at the weather, viewing from those field boxes is going to be abysmal. Those patio portion of those boxes have to be 15-20 feet deep.
This may be some people’s first time realizing it’s not actually a roof over their heads, just some pointless i-beams. If it does rain, it will appear empty from the TV angle.
Totally the couple who sat next to us were dumbfounded when I mentioned that there were no panels above our heads in the open girders of the roof.
over/under on how many patrons slip and fall in the 'Cube' if its raining and everything inside that Cube is wet? I can see on camera1 the flooring is soaking wet right now. 50+ fans is my guess.
I would like to see something new in defense this week. What we are doing is not working. Defenders listed on daunted.com: Birnbaum Brilliant Durkin Fisher Kemp Mora Odoi-Atsem Opare Robinson Midfielders Not Currently Playing Much: Harkes Jeffrey Moreno Segura Injury Report According to the Last Game: Kemp - OUT DeLeon - OUT Odoi-Atsem - Questionable Segura - Questionable Repeat. What we are doing right now is not working. Something has to change. Do we try Durkin at Center Defender (slotting Canouse into defensive midfield)? Is Opare hurt still? He wasn't listed on the Atlanta game injury report. Could Ian Harkes or Jared Jeffrey play outside defender? In particular for Jeffrey, maybe this is a way onto the field (and to stay in the league). What about Segura or Moreno - could one of them slot into defense somewhere.
