So they're missing 3 starters in Quioto, Wanyama and Struna, fairly important starters at that. Evens the field somewhat. Like Aconti wrote, let's get that W!
Kempin has apparently won the spot, which I would not have bet on at the start of the season. I'd have as much confidence in one as the other.
Seitz looked very poor in his last start. After that Kempin moved up the depth chart while Bill still was rehabbing his injury. Is Kempin as good as Hamid? No, of course. Is he a competent backup? Yes. He has been in the league for 12 years so he certainly meets some sort of standard. The task for the defense is to keep Kempin from having to make Hamid style stops, which, quite frankly, most goalkeepers can't do either.
On the other hand, Hamid's distribution has never been first rate, IMO. so Kempin may possibly be an improvement in this area. But shot stopping is clearly the more important skill, and Hamid's is hard to match
the good news is that the defense has generally been playing pretty well, so even Hamid hasn't had to make a huge number of saves lately.

The thing about Kamara is that he either scores, or he is completely useless. He adds nothing to the team outside of the odd goal. He jogs to balls in his vicinity. He dummies balls he should strike. He is unaware of his teammates positions. It is crazy.
We have regressed. We're back to the poor execution in the final third. Arriola is horrible. Maybe it is the post gold cup hang over. Hopefully, he snaps out of it.
Ugly so far. The passing is so off, and the shape seems off kilter. It's hot, so I get some of the lack of urgency, but changes will need to be made, either with the shape or personnel or both.
