This is an interesting lineup. Two forwards! Tonight's Starting XI.@Geico | #DCvRBNY pic.twitter.com/Vqw5k92cDV— D.C. United (@dcunited) September 12, 2020
Also according to the broadcast Paredes is playing in an attacking midfield role, so the lineup is a 4-3-1-2, not a 5-3-2.
First 15 minutes, DC's seeing a lot of the ball, but can't quite figure it out in the final third yet. At least I'm not bored by this.
This is all I really want. I get that we aren't always going to bring home the cup, but we don't have to play miserable soul crushing anti-soccer.
Kind of shocking what happens when attacking players are on the field and are allowed to attack. Rivas looks solid in his first start. Has size, knows where to go, and definitely can shoot (still not sure how that volley off the corner didn't go in).
