For Brazil yes, but not for not being allowed in to the US. It's a competion among who is more inept.
according to the (not always accurate) MLS website the red was for abusive language after the caution but according to their timeline he was cautioned in the 37' so that one at the end was his 2nd
I found her calls/noncalls questionable, but as a player, you've got to be disciplined and keep your stupid mouth shut.
You're right about the not accurate part. The MLS web site has now changed it to a second yellow for unsporting behavior.
I think she's doing OK. They're definitely giving her the rookie treatment. She should have cautioned Moreno on that freekick just outside the box when he kept moving to places clearly not 10 yards away to test her.
I feel ashamed thinking that my team, playing like this COULD ACTUALLY STILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. They are not the only ones playing awfully of course, but the other ones are not my team.
Officially last in the East now. That will put Olsen on a short leash, probably only has 3 or 4 more years until he's sacked. What is so disheartening is that you know Vermes will get shitcanned in KC at the end of the season and at least he won a Cup during his tenure. Of course Olsen has grabbed two Wooden Spoons, so there's that.
She blew two calls. Canouse's second yellow was not worthy of a second yellow. You warn him there, you don't give the second yellow. Then on Nash's goal their attacker fouled Mora, all over his back, should have been called back, either by her or by review (which gives her some cover as review should have called that one back).
Goff reporting that Olsen called out his players at "frauds" after that performance. He also praised Nyeman, Yow and Sorga as showing some energy and desire to play. Now Ben, follow up on that and play them and Paredes if healthy. The only good thing about this is that Ben may now lose the clubhouse and that, might, actually cost him his job. This may be the "Final Countdown".
Ben Olsen has been a fraud for a decade, I wonder where they learned it from. The irony of Ben who never gets held accountable trying to hold other people accountable.
While I agree that Canouse's second yellow was "soft", even Olsen said if you're on a card, be smart. There was no reason for Canouse to get in so agressively on a ball that wasn't even at midfield in the Nashville end. This is Canouse's MO, he's super aggressive and that leads to unnecessary cards and that was one of them. Even McTavish said in the broadcast that a yellow was warranted on the second foul. As for the goal, I watched several replays and while "maybe" you could call a foul (thinking of Brillant in Minnesota last year), it's not clear that Rivas' contact with Mora really impeded Mora in any way. Mora was not in a good position and Rivas just used his height advantage to get the ball. Sure there was incidental contact, but Mora never was going to successfully defend that play given his positioning.
I felt the ref shouldn't have given that second yellow. I don't even think it was a warning situation - just a guy fighting to maintain position and losing clumsily. Muyl was far more aggressive in a dangerous way than Canouse throughout, at one point going in studs up directly on a challenge to, was it Asad? Point being, if you're going to hand out a second yellow, it should be consistent with what you've indicated deserves a yellow. It being DC, hard to say it changed the outcome, but it could have. Good analysis on the goal.
