    When: Wednesday September 23, 8:30
Where: Datsun Field, Downtown Nashville, TN
How: The Great Channel 8 - or maybe DirectKick (didn't see it there Sunday), or some tiny-screened, way-behind streaming service of your choice.
Why: to see if we play forwards and try to score again, this time on the road

Not sure how the injury to Abu impacts this game - we kind of stopped attacking last week when Gressel tried to play his position to no avail - will be interesting to see if someone stepped up in training to fill his shoes (boots? ;) ) and keep the ball moving forward. After he went out (last I heard, MCL) we started passing behind people and backwards again.

I hope we play with two up-top again. As I have said many times for many years, formations that end in -1 are not formations built to win games or score goals (those kind of go hand-in-hand, imo).
I have been pleasantly surprised by Rivas' strength and determination.

I'm a bit surprised that Birnbaum (ankle) and Canouse (hamstring) are still out injured. They've been out a looong time.

As a member of Generation A, I'm still trying to process "late 20s" and "age."

The processing doesn't get any faster from here on out, so I hope you have somebody checking in on you, or you're going to miss supper. ;)

Speaking of radio, does DC United have a radio broadcast outlet?

I'm so old, I remember when they did, even an English-language one

I think a few years they had both Spanish and English, but I'm also so old, I can't swear all my memories are real.

I remember Tony Limarzi doing the English language radio broadcasts. Announced the games like he was on speed.

    As for the lineup:

    Sorga - Rivas
    Paredes - Nyeman - Moreno - Yow
    Mora - Pines - Brillant - Fisher
    Hamid

At some point in the second half. Kamara for Rivas. Gressel for Yow. Higuain for Paredes and O-A for Fisher. The big question conerns both Nyeman (inexperience) and Moreno (many miles in a short period). Given that Segura also is out, I don't know who else can slot in the middle, unless you move Mora up for Nyeman and bring O-A in to the spot vacated by Mora.

Ha, he did! Pete Medhurst did a good job calling them for a couple years on 106.7 The Fan, too.

Not loving the virtual section covers. It's disconcerting how the ball keeps disappearing when it's in the air.

Yeh, it's so strange to have the ball chroma-keying out when it goes over the dark blue advertising backgrounds.

First DCU game I watch since the bubble. ESPN + plus VPN (there is no Channel 8 on Fubo, I think). I could have thought of better ways to spend my evening, but I am a masochist.

If we had to have a female ref, I would have called her directly from Brazil

But it's all Trump's fault if she can't arrive.
