Er...any particular reason he shouldn't end up with the last team he was signed with?

    Well...

If you mean Llamosa: I would prefer he stay a Rev, but if another team has more cap room and expresses interest, wouldn't the league accommodate a move? Lots stranger things have happened, and money is the issue for CL.

But back to McKinley: I never knew what I hated more, seeing him in a Revs shirt, or seeing him in someone else's shirt playing us.

    Re: Well...

He should still be our property, unless we had to renounce his rights in order to sign JMM. If we still have him, I wonder if DC would want him from us? I'd like to try and pry Convey away from them.

Why would we trade you Convey for a defender who's a) playing for Atletico Nacional in Columbia now, b) is 34, c) we can't afford, and d) isn't anywhere near equal in value to Convey? Not to mention we have 3 players that would play the same position (Ivanov, Nelsen, and Stokes).

McKinley was playing midfield for us for the latter third of last season, and would have been a reserve midfielder this year had he not torn his achilles.

JAnderson14 has it right. Llamosa just signed a contract with Atletico Nacional in Columbia, so he would not be available to any MLS team right now.

Actually, no - Llamosa hasn't signed anywhere, and Atletico Nacional doesn't want him. So he could end up in DC, though I doubt he will.

    Interesting

Really sad news about Ivy, one of my favorite guys in MLS. Funny as hell too.

I hope he hooks up with another team but after reading about his injury, it doesn't sound like he's playing this year. Reading the MLSnet article makes it sound like he's done.

FDA in the Globe said Llamosa was signing on internationally. Just FWIW.

I didn't necessarily mean a straight up Convey for Llamosa. We could always throw in a pick or another player if need be. Also, there's a rumor that Llamosa is coming back (as has been posted). Realistically, DC is loaded in front and not in back, Ray likes more veterans, and they seemed like they might want Carlos. However, I don't think your mlsnet roster included your new Bulgarian defender, so you have less of a need than I thought.

Answer - cause you've got Ray Hudson as coach. Do it!

A torn achilles is not the career-ender that it often used to be. Especially for someone who never got their edge with their speed!

It'll be a long road back, at an advanced age, but Sommer came back from the same injury to put in some good performances. I wouldn't say that we've DEFINITELY seen the last of Ivan!
