The match is off to a good start, and it hasn't even started yet: the awful act hired to do the anthem screwed the lyrics up.

Henry's staring daggers at Pajoy. Clearly we're inside his head already.

Keeping possession for more than 20 seconds would be nice. Red Bull is going to score a bunch if we let them possess like this.

Never been so disappointed at passes to a forward as with passes to Pajoy. You just know the attack is over when it goes to him.

Especially since he is offside half the time that he is calling for the ball.

All it will take is one layoff to DeRo...

Of course, when all that's needed is a simple layoff into the run of DeLeon...

Pajoy needs to come off. The attack is dying at his feet every time.

Obviously, our game plan has been ripped from the locker room of the Blackburn Rovers or Leeds United or a Bob Bradley era USA men's national team.. Not good enough for MLS 3.0.

    At the half: 0-0

I'll take it. And what Benny said in the interview rings true, "we just need to hold on to the ball better".

As long as our defense keeps their heads in the game there's no reason why we can't walk out of there with a point. And if we can spring the trap with DeRo and Pontius instead of Pajoy and DeLeon, we might nip a winner as well.

I think we're going to be lucky to escape with the draw. They're so much more active and creative on offense, and are doing such a better job of holding possession.

DeRosario has not made any real impact on this match. I've noticed above the usual complaints about Pajoy, and it's not that they're not correct; but we're not getting what we need out of several players we have to, and DeRo is one of them. They're comfortable double-teaming Pontius and leaving one guy on DeRo, and it's working out for them.

You said the keyword on this play - "run", which incidentally, DeLeon didn't do. He just stood there. The pass sucked from Pajoy but I'm willing to bet he was expecting DeLeon to move towards goal, but again, he just stood there.

If it's the play I think you're talking about, you're right that DeLeon just stood there, which was bad; but DeLeon would have had to run at lightspeed, since the ball was played far closer to the opponent.

The attack is NOTHING with Pajoy. After squandering that last breakaway with 3 DC players because he just wouldn't pass the damn ball he needs to be taken off.

Nice service by DeLeon on the set piece earlier. We' ll see if he takes the remainder of the corners and free kicks. Pontius' corners have not been particularly good.

DeRo does not look sharp. Hopefully just the lay off.

Team D and back 4 look solid. We need to do better holding the ball in midfield and continue to deny easy service in to the box.

Hopefully we can on and sneak a goal late. They seem to be doubling Pontius frequently. Some one else is going to have to step up on the offensive end.

I don't think you are going to have to... we can't hold possession and are going to get scored on eventually. Our midfield and "forward" are getting crushed.

EDIT: I can't believe I'm thrilled to see Carlos Ruiz in, but he can't be worse than Pajoy.

    70' Ruiz for Pajoy.

He'll need to either come back and defend or hold up play much more than Pajoy did.
