Assuming we have a season I'm going to go Red Bull Arena to see DCU play the MetroCows. I'd like to sit (or stand, rather) with DCU supporters. Can someone let me know if there is a ticket-buying option through La Barra or SE, and what that might be?

    Thanks. Vamos United!

Both groups will organize trips (including bus transportation and match ticket) and you can expect to see details within about six weeks of the date.

I watched the NYRB-Santos match tonight, I don't know if it was the enthusiasm for the new stadium in front of a sell out crowd or what, but I have to swallow hard and admit that they're all but the joke team that they were last year. The new coach seems to know his way around and there are a lot of players which seem to be really good... The stadium is honestly fantastic, even if the field still has a lot of sand on it.

I watched parts of it as well, and I have to agree with your assessment. They are in fact undefeated this preseason no? I hope they got all their winning out of their system so they can go back to being the losers we love.... to hate. :D

well, only a long exposed to Red Bull causes cancer, so by mid season, the red Bull will have done it's magic and the team will implode.

I'm kind of excited to actually have a viable team to play against, as opposed to the collection of meat rockets who've been out there the past decade or so.

I agree. This would become a dynamic rivalry if they would only stop sucking.

Unrelated--but inspired by your post--I'd like to suggest that for their next name change they become the New York Meat Rockets.

    Vamos United! Beat the Meat!

Amado Guevara. Honduran international, player for NYRB and TFC (that I can remember).

He's an immensely talented playmaker, and also a whining, diving, cheating child.

That's on the field. Off the field he's one of the nicest, most pleasant players I've met. It kinda bugs me that that's the case.

That happens... do we really want to judge him as a person only for the fact he played for the Metros?? Do we? No, I mean, really??

    YES, WE DO!

I don't have one of those images, and I don't really want to see one, to tell the truth.

    :)

Players are players no matter where they play. Very few of the ones in MLS are arrogant pricks like Matthaus. Most are pleasant, good with fans, and just want to play well.

Matt even if it were true you don't post that on BigSoccer! (shame shame shame, you should know better than that)

Theopisa do we really need jersey porn!?! (Of course you won't find one its been banned from the Internet, not even BigSoccer has one!)
