    Yup....

    10 games total..

Some of these matches are also being televised at the same time on CSN and other carriers.. I'll have to do a deep study to see which games will be carried that originally wasn't scheduled anywhere...

    Kind of Off topic...

Will FSW pay the MLS for showing its games or will it be the other way around like MLS paying ESPN/ABC?

    Comcast upgrades?

As Comcast upgrades its digital cable lines throughout the area, are we sure they're not going to drop FSW from their lineup? My folks live in Rockville, Md., and their Comcast digital doesn't include FSW. Would hate to lose it now that they have MLS...

I read elsewhere that it is not an MLS time-buy.

Awesome. We're the featured team ... as it should be. ;)

I wonder how many Eurosnobs will start becoming DC United fans because of the Fox Sports World exposure? Hopefully a lot.

And a good thing too because the SOBs that run Adelphia cable decided not to carry the Shootout package this year.

I've gotta move so I can get satellite ...

8 Home and 2 Away Games

    Observation:

DC United will have 8 home games shown and 2 away games on Fox Sports World.

Some posters have suggested it is to feature DC United.

Might it also be to feature the RFK atmosphere and the DC United fans? Who wants to broadcast games from a high school stadium like Dallas or Chicago's temporary situation in Naperville? MLS shows much better with games at RFK.

Obviously, after the Home Depot Center is completed, I'm sure many LA Galaxy games will be shown to showcase that stadium.

    Eurosnobs don't watch MLS.

    That's why they're Eurosnobs.

Between FSW, Shootout, ESPN, ABC, and ESPN2 I should be able to see just about EVERY MLS game!!

FIRST GAME COLUMBUS VS LOS ANGELES SATURDAY ON ABC CANNOT START SOON ENOUGH!!!!!

Seems like it's taking FOREVER for the season to start!!!!!!

    Re: Comcast upgrades?

Get off cable and get Dish Network. They carry FSW, but you have to buy the 150 channel package. It's still cheper than cable...

Re: 8 Home and 2 Away Games

Remember when we beat the Spurs in November and the announcer said that White Hart Lane probably the largest stadium DCU had ever played in... Let's see, 42K seats or 56K. At least FSW will help the Eurosnobs should learn throuh MLS advertising during other league's games that our league is indeed M-L-S, not M-S-L.

Comcast doesn't carry FSW in most places. We've had that disucssion here before I think. Are these games also the ones that CSN it also broadcasting and FSW will just use their feed?

I saw in today's Post that Balboa is going to do color commentary for HDNet's MLS games. Anyone know how to get HDNet? Is that another satellite only thing? I can't have a dish in my location. :-( So I am stuck with Comcast. Will they have the shootout package this season?

This is almost invaluable for those of us outside of the Comcast Sports Net region (as I believe I in Monterey, CA am!).

Between this and the english radio broadcasts being webcast, I can catch every game live now!

Most sports bars don't get the Shootout package here (or anywhere), but they do have FSW so they can show EPL. This just means 10 more games that I can see live!

    It's so sweet!
