Scavenger Hunt: May 17 Kickoff of citywide scavenger hunt co-sponsored by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Thanks for the link! Quite amazing that we are the penultimate event for a day of DC history and culture. Kudos to WMATA for recognizing the contribution of the two soccer teams to the city's current scene. Hopefully people will see what they like (thank God they didn't choose to open 4/19)
The Scavenger Hunt will take place Saturday, May 17, 2003 from 9 AM- 3 PM. It will began at the new City Museum,located at 801 K Street, NW (Mt. Vernon Square at Massachusetts and New York Avenues) and end at RFK Stadium with participants having the opportunity to watch a Washington Freedom and D.C. United double header soccer game at a discounted price. The Scavenger Hunt is free and there is no pre-registration. Registration begins promptly at 9 AM, the hunt will begin at 10 AM, and there can be up to 10 people on a team. The first 300 participants will receive a free Metro pass allowing them to ride the subway all day and a goodie bag. There will also be prizes offered to the winning teams and a raffle. K
