Anyone up for a couple of cold ones on October 25th.? I figure it's the night before our next game, Carolinab will be back in town with great stories from London town and it gives us a couple of weeks to plan it. Comments?......
Depending where in DC...I'm up for it. My bestfriend is coming into town that day, and when he's around...we usually unleash the fury
Here's a list of Happy Hr specials around town (check out the Friday deal at Recessions near Farragut, Holy Cow!) http://eg.washingtonpost.com/search...style=n&flavor_id=11&query=happy hour&start=1 K
I'm with you G. If it's a Friday, it should be Metro accesible for the people that don't want to drive into town during that crazy rush hour.
Put it on a Metro line and give us a place and time. It sounds like a good way to burn away the offseason. When does next season start again?
Why not have it in Atlantic City where I will be on the 25th for one of my best friends bachlor party (no not my own)............
I'm home that weekend. Let's have an underage hour outside and practice hurling insults, using those of age to drink as our targets.
Re: Re: Re: Re: DCU BigSoccer Happy Hour I think we should settle this over a couple a pints of Guinness
This smacks of a conspiracy. I move to Alexandria on the very next day, 10/26. You guys purposefully planned this so that I couldn't make it. Wankers.
My recommendation would be to do this at a location that supports soccer, MLS, and DC United. Which limits us to: 1) Capitol Lounge - Off the Capitol South Metro on Orange and Blue line. They show quite a bit of soccer including MLS. Hosted several meet the team events including the infamous "Gazza" event... 2) Lucky Bar - Near Dupont Circle, Faragut North, and Faragut West Metros on Red line and Orange and Blue line. They show a lot of soccer however usually foreign based or DC United only. Hosted the event with Metroscum Cletus and Landon "You can stick him up your a**" Donovan during the All-Star time. 3) Fado - Closest to Gallery Place Metro, but accessible from Metro Center (all metro lines served at one of these two stops). They show some soccer, (at least I've heard...). Hosted several meet the team events as well. Anywhere else?
