Elliot and the Class from DC101 have their annual Shantytown party tonight. He announced today that Nick Rimando will be there (accompanying his girlfriend Jackie Little, the Belle of the Ball) and Benny Olsen would be coming as well. He said more may be coming but he only knew of those two. And, no, gatorade is not a sponsor of the event. If you're going (I can't) make sure you find the DC guys.

They were all at Summer's last night, along with chris Albright's bro and Ali Curtis and John Trask to checkout the playoff games. It was good to meet them all. Didn't know Nick was dating a Freedom player until last night.
She was cute, but there were some spanish hotties on the bar side of Summer's that were catching my attention more But still not a bad catch for Nick.
It's pretty crazy, i've been a DC United fan since '96..and I've never met a MLS player until this year..but this year alone I've talked with Etcheverry, Moreno, Prideaux, Rimando, Ben Olsen, Ali Curtis, Chino Alegria and then MLS players, Donovan, Beasley, Lalas, Klein, Tim Howard, jason Kreis, Dema Kovalenko, pablo mastroeni, Chris henderson and the icing on the cake Veronica Paysee....one great thing about this league is the accessability of the players. When and if MLS really takes off unfortunately that will probably change, and we'll be looking back at these as the good old days!

I didn't get to go because I was out of town on business but my brother met both Nick and Jackie.. If you listen to the show at all, my brother is Satellite John, the guy who hooked Eliot up with his free Satellite tv.. Needless to say, John got the digits from Jackie and they will be the proud owners of a new Sat tv system forthwith.. Shootout package included...
John was mentioned on the show today as it sounded like someone threw a beer at Elliot or something and John and one of the other guys became security. Not sure exactly because someone had the nerve to come ask me about work at that time.
I talked to John this afternoon and indeed he did have to play security guard.. He grabbed the guy buy the throat and "escorted" him off the grounds... No beef was made as John goes about 6'6" and 250 lbs...
I heard that Panty and someone else escorted the guy off, but didn't catch the name. Satellite John, a good vigilante.
For what it's worth, Panty is a pretty funny guy on the show but a complete raging prick off the air.. Same goes for Flounder.. He is just a nasty person and a tool... More dirt coming later.........
I am never surprised when anyone involved in radio is a prick. Never. Same goes for TV. Not all are, but the odds are up there with a Lassiter or Diallo offsides ratio.
