Thank God this is a 3 p.m. kickoff and not an 8 p.m. kickoff. Time to tailgate. Time to enjoy. Time to post-game tailgate. Time to recover. Perfection. As long as we win. We better win. We are gonna win, right?
Well, I mean, you know, if you're looking, for like, you know, volunteers ... How recently is "just tore" ... this could be Loco of the Week stuff here if it's really recent.
I should probably go to bed now to make sure I wake up to get on the road by 9am on Sunday...ugh! At least it's not an 11am game, haha.
Having torn my ACL twice, and now possibly a third time, I've got some experience in that department. Heck, I went to Columbus last year less than a month out of surgery. I think a few of you remember me hobbling around the tailgates last year. I'd be glad to help out.
tequilla: not the best. i think its pepe. but i should have some captain morgan too. if i bring my own cup to the tailgate, can i bring it into the stadium in my wife's purse? we will prob take metro in and i don't want to have to have my drinking chalice confiscated!!
Good, cuz I really didn't feel like it either. Too bad it's going to be impossilbe to go to Finn's without knowing the score. It's possible to leave the United game and go straight home and watch it on Tivo and be okay, but Finn's sounds like much more fun than watching that pathetic team. So NO TV from team Scruggs/Duff... Although I might bring my very small portable one.
yeah if it were 5pm i would be all about it but by the time you get the setup complete it will almost be time to take it down... lets be honest...i have a hard enough time getting into the game on time w/o having to deal with a tv and generator be on the lookout for college football at the 9.29 tailgate though!
end of last week. Oh and throw in a town meniscus too... Anyways she seems oddly excited about the prospect of the assistance.
Yikes! Just getting to the game at all is an accomplishment. I've seen medical studies here at work though that indicate tailgates are good medicine for such injuries.
Perhaps we should run a Barra Lottery. Winner gets to "assist" TheWall's injured friend to the stadium. There's a contest in this somewhere. -Mama G (too lazy to login as myself)
If I win the lottery, I will be chartering a helicopter to ferry Barra Brava members directly from FedEx Field to the tailgate, as well as installing flat-screen TVs throughout RFK so we can keep an eye on the Skins during the United game.
Hey guys, this is Kwame. I've probably met a number of you at previous games, but I'm new to Big Soccer. So allow me to re-introduce myself. Anyone who has a TV of any sort will be my hero. Duffman, don't get weirded out if I'm peering over your shoulder to see your portable TV. Yeah, I know the Skins are um, er..."not awesome", but I'm a die-hard so sue me. On another note, Joe and I are gonna have a pretty big crew of 25-30, of mostly newbies. We've given them the requisite Barra rundown so I'm confident that they know the drill and are good to go. Sunday is shaping up to be a blast.
Rep for choosing Slim Charles as your handle... "See the thing about the old days is...they the old days!!"
