Who: DC United vs. New England Revolution

    What: MLS Regular Season

When: Wednesday, July 20th at 7:30 PM

    Where: RFK Stadium

Why: Because the game against Dallas hurt my soul.

Just thought I'd post this up here considering the next game is already coming up on us/the Dallas game was forgettable.

NE will actually be coming off one day LESS rest than us, considering they play tonight (Sunday) against Philly.

I'm hoping there are no red cards this time. We need to avenge Bosko getting cut down by one of their thugs and sent Fred off with 3 points. :p

This will be New England's third match in a week actually. Manchester United, Philly tonight, then DC on Wednesday. We got to win this game - especially at home. I know we play Everton on Saturday but we got to give it all vs NER. Can academy players and/or trialists play vs Everton on Saturday?

Yes I'm pretty sure they can. Zach Pfeffer appeared for Philly in a friendly before he was signed from the academy

The away loss to NE is the worst loss of the season. Anything but a win at home would be the worst home result of the season. So far.

I think the Houston loss was much worse. The NE game was bad but we got screwed by the ref pretty hard.

In the Houston game we just got beat. Bad. Including that throw in goal which was one of the most embarrassing defensive plays I've ever seen.

Feilhaber just got red carded. I think it was a late challenge on the flopping fish.

That is going to be a big plus for us for Wednesday. Hopefully NE come in tired.

Ricardo Clark kicking him was kind of funny. It was karma.

NE is pretty bad. NE looked pretty bad in their last two games so they might be dangerous-in a wounded animal sort-of-way. DC United should beat them. I hope DCU doesn't look past them.

Feilhaber will miss the game due to suspension. So good for us.

This is the type of team that Davies could/should score against.

I'm hoping there is decent attendance but don't expect it since the game is during the week.

There's not going to be a better opportunity to get 3 points for the rest of this season. Anything less than 3 pts. should be unacceptable.

Watching the highlights from last night vs. the Union... the Revs had one of the most unorganized defenses I have ever seen. Cochrane will most likely be back on Wednesday (I believe he was nursing an injury in addition to his suspension), but I'm really hoping Wolff can be inserted back into the line up. He, Davies, and DeRo could have a field day with that defense.

The bad news is: Shalrie Joseph will be back from accumulated yellow card suspension.

Factoid from Goff: "D.C. United's next 8 #mls opponents have losing records, with a combined mark of 31-62-63. Chance to make move"

Would be great to start that 8 game stretch with a win at home

Cool, and the Everton match is like a double points multiplier if DC wins, right?
