We have tactics? It looks like our tactics are kick it around a couple of times, boot it ineffectually up the field.
It was funny at the begining of the broadcast Moreno said he couldn't believe Olsen had been coaching DCU for ~10 years. Take that as you will.
I dont get Ben Olsen. You're playing 5 midfielders. Not one natural winger, only one creative player. How are we supposed to score goals?
What the f**k is Junior Moreno doing? Dodged the second yellow once, and then plows through a player for no reason. We have no plan, no tactics, no creativity. Just awful.
Moreno "could" have gotten a second yellow there but the call where he does get the second yellow is crap. NO FOUL!! Well on the good news front the team can get home early from the Covid infested bubble early.
Glad to see the layoff didn't hurt. DCU in midseason form already. No possession, no creativity. The only added "tactic" added during the layoff was brain farts from the two CBs. Olsen is a genius in keeping his team in prime tactical shape. Oof. Maybe DCU should attempt a rebrand like the Snyder racist nicknames.
Moreno showed bite. That’s our tactic. We finish with 9 players and call it quits on the tourney which shouldn’t even be happening. I’m cool with that.
Missed first half - tuned in to hear Ale Moreno say there is one team on the field, DC seems to be saving their legs for something and they forgot about the aggression part of the game...ahhh just like old times, an innocent age pre-COVID19 - It’s like taking a little piece of home with you when away for an extended period
Glad Fisher is getting some run, I'd rather he be at RB, and Canouse in Midfield, but it's odd taking off our only striker. I guess we are saving him for Friday.
Gressel is a good passer and hard working player. Not someone i would consider creative. He is playing from the right side of midfield, but he wont dribble past players. Flores cant be expected to do it by himself. He has no outlets to add to that, he's playing off the wing. Not central, not free. The only player who makes dangerous runs naturally is Kamara (occasionally Segura) and he's out of the game.
Ah, good old Ben Olsen tactics: Defend with 10, and attack with a holding center forward. Unfortunately, whoever Kamara is holding the ball for is 50 yards away. What a clever strategy. It works twice as well when you're down a man, and you've taken off your only CF. Now let's see if we can defend that 2 goal loss...
