So basically the intent with that lineup is to get DeRo the golden boot. But with that lineup ... not so sure DeRo's going to score any goals.
Damn, how many times have we hit the bar in stoppage time this year? KC, RSL, and Columbus come to mind
Well, that sucked. Pretty much what you'd expect, though - nothing on the line, three days after what looks like a physically/emotionally draining match against Portland. Three good first-half chances (two on one play), one good one in stoppage time, and ran into really good goaltending on the other side. Is it March yet? R.
19 posts for a pre-game, in-game and post-game thread? This kind of ambivalence is pretty damn impressive, even for a team that's missed the playoffs four years on the trot. I hope Simms is OK. Getting a concussion in a game that even the fans don't care about is a cruel end to a cruel season. Kansas City is unimpressive. The fact that they won the East speaks volumes about the quality of the East. Which speaks volumes about the teams that DIDN'T qualify from the East. It's nice to have my Saturday nights back.
Good crowd and a positive attitude. Lots of noise, even on the quiet side. And if the ball from Tino to Andy to Josh had just snuck under the bar the place would have exploded.
I was impressed with the number of very large, very fast players on KC. In fact, every team seems to have large, fast players - except us.
I think I put more extra effort into supporting this team than many of its players put into their career.
