Here's another one from the Boston Herald http://sports.bostonherald.com/soccer/view.bg?articleid=29941
I was going to post the pathetic article the Times did on the game (total of about 3 paragraphs page D10 or something like that), but then I find it's not even on their site. I'm really starting to hate the Times for their crap reporting on DCU (remember, only put losses on the front page, wins at least 10 pages in and write the article like you don't care about the game at all) and all sports. For all of you who get the Post, consider yourselves blessed.
Did you ever consider that maybe the Post actually sent Steven to the game, but the Times did not send a reporter since it wasn't local?
That could be true Mike but I doubt they send a reporter to any Orioles road games and they still manage to put another towns team on the front page.
For away games where a they don't send a reporter, they rely on the AP wire story (or more like the UPI story for the Times since they're both owned by the Moonies). I just don't believe the anti-soccer media bias actually exists.
I don't think so either but I agree with tmas. I'm happy to have the Post delivered to my door every morning.
Same here. I think the Post is a far better newspaper than the Times. In fact, there's no comparison. But I think the Times does pretty good coverage of United and of DC sports teams in general.
I was just thinking the same thing--probably trying to figure out how to arrest 20k people for un-American activities.
I hope he was at the game because he's got some St. Louis soccer blood in him (Twelman's home-town I think). Otherwise, that man makes me nervous, for reasons that are not appropriate for the big-soccer board.
