[Larry the Cable Guy] Lord, I apologize for that there. Please be with the starving pygmies in New Guinea, and please let the Chicago Fire go down in Flames tonight! [/Larry the Cable Guy]
I hope my Directv package gets this, the CSN plus games are hit or miss being on the CSN alternate channel. Here's hoping we lay a beatdown on the baseball diamond and we get some results our way. VAMOS UNITED!
Just thought you should know that I went out to dinner last night at Galway Bay in Annapolis and had a Guinness. I was compelled to do so by some mysterious force.
Glad to hear that! If DC United wins and they make the playoffs, I'll bring you a nice cold six pack of Guinness draught before the playoff game. ps-I must admit that I used to drink Sierra Nevada Pale Ale much more when DC United won all of their Cups. I am thinking of switching to Sierra Nevada next year. At least for game day drinking.
OK, here's the deal. If we make the playoffs, I'll bring you a six of SN Pale Ale and you bring me a four-pack of Guinness. We'll consider it our own celebration of success. Trouble is that I might end up just rooting for the beer, just like the patrons at Caps games do when the Caps score 5. They start to cheer for the sixth so they can get free pizza. (Don't know if they do that anymore, but they used to.)
Can I take a moment to be bitter about how if we hadn't tied so many freaking matches early on, we wouldn't be in this situation now? Thanks. Now, anyone know who's traveling? We know who's definitely not traveling.
My DISH schedule has the game on at 9:30 for 1 hour due to a ****ing Caps game on CSNMA ... and Direct Kick has the game blacked out .... fcuk
Sounds good to me. (DC United might even win due to my drinking Sierra Nevada Pale Ale! ) They used to do that at Landover, we got quite a lot of free food back in the late 80s early 90s!
Maybe that MLSTV subscription I bought will come in handy tonight. That said, this is just another reason to NOT renew my season tickets. Arguably the most important game of the season and we get ********ed because the Caps get priority -- and I would submit because they have a much better run and more savvy organization. I'm probably wrong, but I am so sick of this crap, so I need to vent. Actually, I'm still pissed off about the $200 loan I gave DC United several season ago to "guarantee my seats in the new SSS." Aaahhh....now I feel better.
Venting is good, but.... What do your season tickets have to do with Comcast? The Caps...better run! Oh, let's turn back the clock to the season before Ovechkin arrived, there were more rats than people in that building and they weren't rocking the red, they were rocking the color of those empty seats and their putrid colors. Even after Ovechkin arrived they still sucked and the building was still empty. They got better, sure, and they also changed their colors to include red and black and adopted an eagle that looks an awful lot like the DC United eagle. That's not better run or savvy, that's just copying something that's already working and now they're winning and they got tons of fans from out of nowhere! OMG CAPS! Let them start losing and he Wiz or the Nats or someone else start winning and they'll be back to the ushers and the other team's fans come game time. Caps fans overheard at the gym last year during the playoffs: "You must be so excited...game seven!" "Yeah, how many games do they play?"
I'm going with the tape-delayed CSN telecast because I'm too cheap to do anything else. The hard part will be not peeking at MLSNet.com for real time updates prior to 9:30.
Greetings from a Comfort Inn just off I-70 in Kansas City. It's no luxury joint, but it's clean and they let me check in early. I think I'm about 3 miles from the stadium. Flew up here with Dave Johnson and Tony Limarzi. Chatted about stadium prospects, etc. So the my DirectKick recording I set won't work? Have to fire up the mlslive subscription so my wife can watch it. OK, off to explore and to get some lunch.
Huh?? The answer to your second sentence is contained in the first. Of course my season tickets have nothing to do with Comcast... It's a RANT.
For the people bitching about CSN, the game is showing on my DVR live at the correct time on CSN+ (not MASN or whatever) at 8. That's channel 004 on Comcast in MoCo. Not in HD, but what're you gonna do...
