What: DC United vs Columbus Crew When: Wednesday, October 28, 8 PM Where: Audi Field Why: Because DC United still has very slim playoff hopes How to watch: WJLA 24/7, dcunited.com, ESPN+ Against all odds, DC United are unbeaten in 3, and have grabbed 7 points from the last 9 available. This stretch has kept their supremely slim playoff hopes alive - they're "only" 3 points out of a playoff spot, but it's more like 4 points due to tiebreakers. A win likely keeps the playoff hopes alive a bit longer; a loss or tie practically end them. Brillant still day to day with a non-Covid illness; Odoi-Atsem is likely out with a concussion. Vamos!
PPG suggests we need 8 points to make the playoffs. This game is pretty much meaningless to Columbus, and they're missing Zardes. It's an opportunity, if any such thing can be said to be had by a team with DC's injury/roster situation. Even so, they are a disciplined team with a tough midfield to handle, and Asad has played 4 full games in the last two weeks. With Reyna and Flores still recovering game fitness (and form), we don't have a lot of great creative options. Mora has to be hurting as well. This'll be a real test of our 442. If we're going to be forced back into a shell, this is the game it'll happen.
What else are you going to do while you are patiently waiting for Texas to finally run their damned [Sunday] NASCAR Cup race
I am confused. English is my first language and I read it pretty well but the words while all in English do not make any sense to me.
We joked on Sunday when the race was stopped for rain, that they were gonna try to run at the same time as the United game on Wednesday and just laughed ......... after a steady mist for 3 days, the Texas race is now scheduled for 3:00 ET today - and based on weather channel future-radar, I would guess it'll be delayed by about 2 hours due to more rain ..... putting it where it, at the very least, overlaps the game. It's bad enough when the Saturday or Sunday games overlap ... Wednesday is a bit ridiculous. Yet another reason to hate Texas.
NASCAR ends: 8:01 DCU kick-off: 8:08 I would have stayed with NASCAR even though Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Kyle Busch was winning
They were totally struggling with Columbus's press but that was some slick ball movement for the goal.
