2004 SEASON STATS Goals Assists Points 0 0 0 :/ He has been injured all season. Hopefully he can get into form..
He got into his first game a couple of weeks ago, coming on against Columbus as a late sub for Quill. I don't know if he's our answer to our target forward problem, but he seems to fit that role, and we didn't give up too much for him.
One upside is that he's a P-40 player. So the team's developmental slots are now filled (until they dump Stokes)
All I know is this better not take any playing time away from Nana Koffour. As far as Im concerned, that kid should be starting soon
So, is the team going to meet him at tomorrow's game??? I guess it saves on airfare to get him from Dallas! -- N
I think we just traded for this guy because we wouldn't have to pay for his plane ticket for the next match!
I like this move. A) He provides much-needed depth. B) He provides much needed size at forward. C) Before his knee injury, he scored everywhere he went, at college, PDL and with the U23 national team. D) He's P40 so he doesn't count against the cap and roster. E) He gets us closer to having a full roster and thus being able to put Martens and Q2 on IR. It's a bit of a dice roll since he hasn't played much since the injury so he's probably pretty raw, but giving up a 4th round pick two years from now for a guy who is just a year and a half away from being the 15th overall pick in the draft seems like a low-risk move. Sure, if he blossoms, the "future considerations" might be more but that means he's produced so it should be worth it. I called for the team to get a power forward, to get more depth and to make a move of some sorts so I have to give Kasper and Payne credit for this move.
