    It's pretty amazing that he wound up playing in LigaMX for several years after leaving MLS (and failing to latch on to a USL team, no less).

    No, that was a GK - but Erpen's mom didn't like some criticism he was getting on this board and signed up to defend him :)

    That sir, is a slur on Joe Willis -- he doesn't belong with the rest of those mopes. Joe Willis will live forever in history as the man who roasted Kenny Cooper's balls after Geiger cut them off.

    Is this thread about players who left DC United and then led other teams in key roles to be MLS Champions?

    or players who left DC United and then also went pfft on other MLS teams?

    My take is that it is a an attempt to crowdsource a starting 11 that fully captures the stunning sub-mediocrity of the last decade. A full all-despair starting 11.
