Well, this could be the starting lineup:

I guess Russel over Alvarez. (Alvarez on in '65.) DeRo over Ching (comment the other day from Kinner said Ching "wasn't yet quite 100%"). Agoos doesn't just have a sparained ankle but a bruised foot; hopefully nothing too serious. Looks like ERob will get a run out no matter what.

And if there are any more surprise no-go's before the game? Kinnear can just look down the bench.

Best newspaper coverage I can remember for the Quakes and/or the league. I hope the press will not "go into hiding" as soon as the hype over Freddie wears off. It will be interesting to see how much play the Mercury gives the team, especially now that the Sharks are hot. I remember three years ago when the Quakes traveled to Miami to earn a shot at the championship game, and the Mercury did not even send a reporter to the game! I think they probably would now (but who knows?). Is Dylan Hernandez still going to be the "cover" guy?

yup, but I don't think he's going to D.C. today to cover the game.

I thought that was pretty horrible, too. You don't admit that, jokingly or not........
