Why do they keep having post game parties at this place. We are segregated like outcasts and the place is usually dead. Boring. K how about we all boycott and just choose a place of our own.

Then again, it isn't as boring when we do what we did last time and just take the damn place over.

I do agree with you, Victory, that being in that back room sucks ass.

Was privately thinking the same thing. Do not like RFD at all.

I just pass along the news, I didn't organize this party!

If people really think this place not good, send an email to Mike Harloff at DCU (mharloff@dcunited.com) with some constructive criticism so they know for next year. Not too much DCU can do about it for Sat.

If people want to organize and go elsewhere, no sweat off my nose as I'll be in a car with Dave immediately after the game for a midnight hell ride to Long Island for a noon wedding on Sunday (we hope to get some ZZZs before the I dos!)

It's not the greatest place, but the main thing I didn't like about the post-game party I went to there was that we didn't get discounts on the GOOD BEER! That said, it's close to the Metro at a station that has three lines going to it -- hard to top that. And if you're not confined to the back room, it's got the best selection of beer in town.

OK, someone here contacted Mike Harloff and Mike DeFazio who is the DCU contact with RFD replied:

    FYI -
The post game party will be in the front(main dinning room) of RFD.
Players and staff reserved seating will be situated in the back left behind the main bar.
Extra servers have been brought in to help out. It should hopefully run smoother since the kitchen and main bar is closer.
We owe RFD for stepping up and hosting this thing only 5 days before the game.

So hopefully this will be better on Sat but DCU staff know now that people aren't wild about this place.

Unless Dave renounces his allegiance to the Evil Empire (that's the Yankees not the Jewish faith) you can forget this wedding nonsense!

Some cousin of Dave's (who's not a Wiccan, BTW) is getting married on Halloween.

RFD and the Brickskellar are owned by the same people.

Many, many times. As K mentioned, they're owned by the same folks, but I've never gotten a stale beer at RFD, while I've gotten quite a few at the Brickskeller. Brickskeller does have more bottles, but RFD has over 300 plus RFD has the advantage of having 36 or so taps vs. none at the Brickskeller, plus they have a couple of cask ales available vs. none at the Brickskeller.

Yeah he does need to do that, because the Yankees choke just as hard as the Metroscum! Come on Dave get with the program man.

And Kim, thanks for getting the scoop from DCU on the pgp I think its awesome that RFD is making some effort for the team. Just hope they realize there are going to be a LOT of drunk people doing lots of singing!

    Cheers!
