Gotcha! Actually I wanted to poll the masses. After last season and enduring another Rogen debacle no one in their right mind really expected to make the playoffs this year. Well after a season of Ray's guidance this team has started to learn how to face adversity and overcome it. Facts are they were too deep in a hole by the time they learned it this year. So now I'm going to poll Big Soccer's blind faith here. Site unseen. Not knowing what changes are going to be made this off season. How many of you think DC United are going to make the playoffs next year? I say yes, I think they will. I believe that the needed changes will be made and other teams are going to be in cap trouble that they will not be able to overcome.
The league seems to be pondering having only four teams make the playoffs next year. If that happens, my answer would go from "absolutely yes" to "I think Ray will make it happen."
The league should move to only four teams making it next year. It's pretty silly that 80% of the teams make the post season. I'd rather see a longer regular season and less teams in the post season.
If we get a decent finsher, or if someone on the squad steps up, I think we'll make the playoffs, 4 teams or more.
Now that's what I like to hear. Ok no flaming them but who voted no? I would be interested to hear why.
Agreed, I just wanted to get a pulse of the fan base. I don't blame any no voters nor do I think that yes voters are crazy.
No, it makes you a DC United supporter, heheh. But seriously, I think we can make it, even if MLS reduces the amount of playoff spots. We just need to improve our road form and find a good finisher either within or without the squad.
Serious or not - I don't think so ... A supporter has no interest in optimism or pessimism. Rather he is always there for his side come what may. A supporter may, however, hope. But hope is quite a different thing from having an optimistic or pessimistic outlook. For instance, I may hope for something that I have no chance of receiving. That is I may hope for something about which I am pessimistic. This state of hope is called despair. And that is a state of hope that DC United supporters are all too familiar with.
