Re: DC United Maryland License Plates And we have hit 25 - I want to see if we can get 50 before I start the app process
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates Another vote cast from Virginia. IIRC, we need 350 minimum to get ours. It's not easy being green. With envy.
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates I knew it was hypothetical, because we all know that he drives a truck KGDG Come On United (States and DC) www.screaming-eagles.com I simply refuse to be jealous of you Maryland types...
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates Too bad i only have one car.....and i currently have Fire dept. tags on it (great for some of those speeding tickets) lol. and hopefully soon will have FOP tags....so maybe when i can afford a second vehicle i will get one.... . Good job everyone involved.
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates As of this morning we are at 35 and counting - so 70% of the way to our goal. Once we reach 50 we will be cutting off adding anyone to the list until the plate is officially approved by the MVA. So - if you want to be in on the first order of 50 send your e-mail to me soon
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates That is tight. Too bad I'm stuck with D.C. tags (though "Taxation Without Representation" certainly beats "America's Dairyland" and "Famous Potatoes").
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates Here's the info re org tags in DC (similiar requirements as MD but the fees seem a little high) http://dmv.dc.gov/serv/plates/organization.shtm Fees:http://dmv.dc.gov/info/feerequirementsVR3.shtm As the SEs are a non profit we can sponsor but someone in the club has to volunteer to be the lead on this project. K
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates edit.....doesnt look like we can have a dc united plate as there has to be prrof of non profit status (well we arent exactly making money right now, thanks fenty but you all know) damn dc good find K
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates dcchelseafc, you do know that you need a non-profit agency to file this. The requirements are that a non-profit support the plate and that 25 members of said organization are willing to buy the plate. I know that DC United (aka River Potomac) appears to be a non-profit, but they haven't actually filed that status...
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates Screaming Eagles are non-profit which is how we're able to do this in Mary-Land.
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates Yes - the Screaming Eagles are the sponsoring non-profit with permission from DCU to use the trademarked logo. BTW - everyone can thank the Baltimore Ravens for this tag since they were the inspiration for using the DCU logo as opposed to the SE logo. I saw a Ravens tag going down the road one morning and thought - no way in hell they are a non-profit and looked it up that it was there Community group offering it. Presto chango - a DC United tag.
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates We are down to 9 tags left in the original order - so jump on this if you are interested in getting in the first batch
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates $%^& . . . I need to buy a couple more cars quick so I can move up on the list!!
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates Just be careful because I'm pretty sure it's illegal to obscure any part of your tag.
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates If you talk back to a cop during a routine stop, every little violation becomes fodder for another write-up.
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates I think only way I can turn my car into more of a cop magnet is if I install cops suck sign on roof
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates I would suggest changing your horn so that everytime you hit the horm you hear "Hey piggie piggie" or "I SMELL Bacon!"
Re: DC United Maryland License Plates I usually blast the pennywise song FCUK AUTHORITY when I drive by the capitol hill popo
