FWIW I always listen to Hero by Chad Kroeger (from the Spiderman I soundtrack) to get me pumped up.

    And they say
That a hero could save us
I'm not gonna stand here and wait
I'll hold onto the wings of the eagles
Watch as we all fly away

Good chance I'll be in the minority for this song, I realize.

We often listen to Disturbed Down with the Sickness and Drowning Pool Bodies on the way to the games. Sets a good vibe.
Rob Zombie is also good for pre-DCU pre-Caps.

And of course Johnny Cash and Warren Zevon are always a hit on rod trips.

Have we started doing the Hey Nicky (Hey Mickey) chant again? I'd think Rimando's resurgance would get him a song.

Looks like I will be stuck in DC for the game, as I have a flight out early Sunday overseas -- but arriving back in time for RFK on the 30th.

As for the music, it all sounds a little scary, but to keep with the theme, I recommend Higher Ground by the Chili Peppers. Nice mood music if your goal is to do some damage.

Good luck gang. Wish I could go with you.

That instrumental song with the sampled brass from Kill Bill Volume 1 when Oren Iishi and the Crazy 88s are walking down the hallway in that nightclub.

It's called "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" by Tomoyasu Hotei

    That always gets me pumped.

While we're on movie songs .. the one that Laura Dern and Nic Cage dance to in the bar scene in "Wild at Heart."

Just to be clear, I'm not trying to foist this CD on anyone on the bus. Just wanted to do this for my purposes and figured I'd get some good input here. Definitely have had some good song ideas.

Thanks K for the offer, I'll post the final track list here and bring some extra copies on the bus if people wanted to burn them off.

I'll do my best to incorporate ideas and stay away from the controversial tunes, but, as I said, I'm limited by my collection and time right now.

I think Lost Prophets, Last Train Home wouldn't be a bad addition either.
I always enjoy that song with the video at the stadium. It get's me a bit fired up.

    Lose Yourself - Eminem
    Baba O'Riley - The Who
Jump Around - House of Pain
    Blizkrieg Bop - The Ramones
