In that same announcement Tottenham were pleased to mention that they ALMOST signed clubs Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan to play in this match.
good exposure for MLS We'll play well. DC will impress, and hopefully the US leagues we'll get some recognition.

Heh heh... and I get to go... On the down side, I only get to see one MLS team this year-- and it's DC...
Don't kid -- or flatter -- yourselves. The British media was plenty impressed, by and large and a few introverts apart, by the US World Cup performance but in a country where football is the main sport, they'll take a mid-season exhibition game about as seriously as your media would take an NFL pre-season match-up played in week eight of the regular season, for instance. Sure, if DC got hammered one or two regular bigots (of which, sadly, there a few) would probably take the Michael out of the MSL but by and large only about 32 people (and their dogs) will go to the game and of those only 7 will take the result -- whatever it is -- seriously. The rest are well aware that it will tell us nothing about the state of the MSL, and even less about the state of Spurs.
Re: Re: Dc to face Totenham I agree with that... except that it's MLS, not MSL (a mistake that seems fairly common in the UK press, too).
