The agreement stipulates that the Royals retain official "Minor League Affiliate" status to the extent permitted by the MLS and the USL. The agreement also provides for friendly matches between the two teams throughout the 2003 season as well as other opportunities for minor league professional players to gain visibility to United's coaching staff. DC United will also look to exercise the opportunity to send new or developmental players to play in Royals league games to gain valuable match experience. The Royals will also have the opportunity to schedule regular USL league matches as doubleheaders with DC United at RFK Stadium.

Also, Sergio Salas is with them this season.

its good to see that they still have a relationship. if i was dc, i would send players from the youth team to the team, only if the coaches think they have the potential. i would do it like this. pick one or two players who might have the potential and pay for their college and have them play for the royals. what do you guys think?? only an idea.
