Goalie is playing well. We have no ability to create chances unless we cause a turnover in the attacking third. Not optimistic about the 2nd half.
The lack of tactical ideas on both sides of the ball with this team is alarming. It’s a huge issue for us, right up there with questionable roster decisions and lineup choices.
If I was Lesesne, I'd bring in another defender or two and try and scrape out a scoreless draw. They are not scoring a goal tonight. I'm not positive that Freese has even touched the ball yet, aside from goal kicks.
Josh Eastern /Jamie Watson. Except for Calen Carr and Lori Lindsay (who usually get paired with morons) Watson is probably the best color guy in MLS. He rarely plays the MLS fluffer, which is refreshing.
I don’t think any of the Apple teams have a decent play by play guy and I have zero fs to give about color commentary and narratives. I’d pay more to never hear win probability and some other stupid map.
This is worse in my opinion. With Bennyball we forced the opposition into low percentage shots and overall the defense was a lot better. We play with 9 players behind the ball and still can’t defend worth a crap. Should be 3-4 goals for NYC if Barraza wasn’t standing on his head against his former team.
Thankfully only a few thousand people in both markets have witnessed this garbage. We have no business getting anything from this match, but NYC has squandered so many chances. Something needs to be done about the level of play in this league. So very poor.
City is as bad on the road as we are at home. /sigh Baraza is MOTM, even if we conced in the next 10 min.
Luis Barraza obvious MOTM. Leal with a couple of interesting passes. I can see how Peltola could be a good player on a decent team. Everybody else with an 'F'.
tubby was good and GK was obvious MOTM for us. That starting midfield is an insult to fans. I lack the vocabulary to adequately describe Enow. Jamie Watson is doing analysis. He used to post on bigsoccer. I agree that he’s good. The PBP guy sounds just like Christian Miles but he isn’t.
